Ben Matthews
Assistant Professional
Ben started as a trainee under Mark Coghlan in his home town of Bridport in 2002. In July 2006, he moved up to London to pursue a playing career and, under the guidance of first the Ronaldsons and now Nick Wood, his game has gone from strength to strength.

In the 2008/09 season Ben won the Category ‘A’ Championships at Oxford, for players with a handicap between 0 and 9 and also saw his handicap reach a ‘+’ figure for the first time. He also made two appearances in other finals during the season, as well as reaching the final of the National League Premier Division.
Ben’s ambition is to be the World Champion in 2012.
Ben left the Royal Tennis Court in early 2010 to become the Senior Professional at the Jeu de Paume et Squash de Bordeaux-Merignac.
