Scott started his Real Tennis career as a Junior Professional at Cambridge University Real Tennis Club in 2003 at the age of 22. Scott had never played real tennis before, but his background as a talented young cricketer helped him grasp the game swiftly, reaching the final of the Browning Cup and qualifying for the British Open. Scott has a natural eye and energy on court and plays the classical style of tennis.

In his early years, Scott's drive was to improve his game (getting his handicap down to 7.8), and to coach some of the top amateur players in the game, including the Cambridge Varsity teams. In Scott's time at CURTC, Cambridge won the Men's Varsity match nine times, and the Women's six times.

After 15 years as an assistant at Cambridge, Scott progressed his career by accepting the role of Head Professional at Jesmond Dene Real Tennis Club, Newcastle in 2017. Under his care the club thrived with improved membership numbers and court usage, and secured a new local club sponsor, all while building the club's profile within the North East, the UK and the international real tennis communities. After a successful two and a half years at Jesmond an opportunity arose to join the team at RTC.

Scott is thrilled to be working with a strong team at RTC. Focusing on the high level of service to the RTC membership as well as developing personal goals, his enthusiasm, real tennis skill and knowledge will be a great asset to the club.
